When engaged, the Baitrunner system will allow a fish to take line with the bail closed until the angler is ready fight the fish through the main drag system with a simple turn of the handle to disengage the baitrunner drag. BTR6000D: A versatile size for both surf and boat anglers, the 6000D puts out up to 20lbs of Max Drag and holds slightly more than 200yds of 50lb braid. This is a great size for many striped bass applications and can be used as a pitch reel for dolphin.
BTR8000D: A versatile size for both surf and boat anglers as well, the 8000D puts out up to 20lbs of Max Drag while holding nearly 300yds for 50lb Power Pro braid. This is typically the go-to size for most striped bass anglers. Also makes for a great pitch reel for sailfish and white marlin anglers who come across a stray billfish or dolphin out on the break.
